Gerry Lowe

Gerry Lowe was born in Warrington in November 1927,  he married Josie in St. Anthony’s Church, Trafford Park in 1954. They had three children. Gerry was a metallurgist but found fame as a professional Rugby League player with Warrington, playing in the Cup Final at Wembley and then in the replay at Ordsal Stadium in Bradford in front of a crowd of 102,569.  He was also an accomplished musician with his own band “The Allenites”. Gerry was a larger than life character with a huge personality and was much loved by everyone. Gerry died on 2 March 2018, leaving many happy memories with his family and friends.
